BROMBAL

Pietro Brombal has devoted his entire life to building metal windows and doors, working as a metal craftsman from age 14. Living in Italy, he realized that Venice’s early buildings required a complex yet extraordinary steel and bronze fenestration solution worthy of such renowned architecture, so in 1970, he opened his shop. Located in Altivole, the shop’s original site remains the company’s headquarters today.

As one of the oldest, most experienced thermally-broken metal window, door, and curtain wall manufacturers worldwide, Brombal knows trust is the real meaning of success. Brombal offers a product you can trust, performance you can trust, and service you can trust. As a family-run business with hundreds of completed projects worldwide, Brombal believes great architecture must live on long after we’re gone. Brombal produces the best windows and doors worldwide, made in Italy, where exquisite design still reigns.

BUILDING A LEGACY

Compared to other materials, the strength found in steel allows for more oversized continuous windows with thinner sight lines. Steel has permanence; legacy projects, in particular, can be guaranteed 300-400 years of use with steel windows.

Steel is one of the most challenging materials for manufacturers to work with; thus, there is tremendous importance in knowing the history and experience of the brand. When longevity, aesthetics, and performance are paramount, steel windows represent the holy grail of fenestration.

PAINTED GALVANIZED

Brombal uses a steel alloy, the FeP02, with a GZ200 hot zinc coating (equivalent to 200 gr/sqm on both sides) that protects the profile from oxidation on the interior and exterior surfaces. The subsequent finishing process, skin-passing, allows for better paint adhesion and lasting durability. Galvanized steel is three times stronger, with thermal conductivity four times lower than aluminum.

COR-TEN

Brombal uses a steel alloy, the FeP02 with a GZ200 hot zinc coating (equivalent to 200 gr/sqm on both sides) that protects the profile from oxidation both on the interior and exterior surfaces. The subsequent finishing process, called skin-passing, allows for better paint adhesion and lasting durability. Galvanized steel is three times stronger with thermal conductivity four times lower than aluminum.

STAINLESS

The physical features of stainless steel provide extreme durability with minimal maintenance. Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and is ideal for harsh ocean-front environments. For the production of profiles at Brombal, they use AISI 304 and AISI 316L stainless steel depending on the climate: AISI 304 stainless steel is provided in a satin finish while AISI 316L stainless steel – particularly suitable for marine environments – is provided in Scotch-Brite and polished.

BRASS

The allure of brass comes from its coveted bronze look and high performance concerning corrosion. Brombal uses an OT67 alloy which contains 67% copper, while the remaining 33% zinc increases its mechanical properties, such as hardness and tensile strength. The primary virtue of this alloy is to naturally oxidize when in contact with air, creating a beautiful patina reminiscent of antique bronze. This look joins elegance with tradition.
