Established over 120 years ago in Brakel, Germany, FSB originally manufactured furniture fittings. FSB uses the most advanced automated production technology in the industry; their aluminum anodizing process is the most sophisticated and environmentally friendly in the world. They have developed technology to use rain water in the anodizing process, for example, with less than one percent loss. They use natural salts as sealants rather than toxic chemicals.

The coating on FSB product is three to ten times as thick as the typical chrome plating found in other manufacturers' products.
